They'll look at your background for criminal charges and your credit to make sure you aren't a financial risk.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 10 at 2019 12:55 AM2019-06-10T00:55:34-04:002019-06-10T00:55:34-04:00CAPT Kevin B.4710062<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>They look at a lot of things, especially financial and criminal. Domestic violence? Typically a career ender. That said, be aware that the MIL and many on the Civil Service side who have positions that don't require a clearance are not off the hook. The concept is known as "maintaining eligibility for a clearance". So if you muck it up such that potential future hit would show up on a background investigation, action can be taken then for separation. We don't keep people around who won't pass muster on classified stuff. I've administratively separated both MIL and CS. Fairly easy mechanical process. Even easier is when the person refuses to provide information "because they have rights". That one took about two days.Response by CAPT Kevin B. made Jun 10 at 2019 12:56 AM2019-06-10T00:56:59-04:002019-06-10T00:56:59-04:00SGT Carl Wilkins4712522<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>SecretResponse by SGT Carl Wilkins made Jun 10 at 2019 8:06 PM2019-06-10T20:06:11-04:002019-06-10T20:06:11-04:00SFC Michael Krogmann4720499<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Secret is a requirement to be awarded the MOS.Response by SFC Michael Krogmann made Jun 13 at 2019 9:15 PM2019-06-13T21:15:56-04:002019-06-13T21:15:56-04:00CSM Ethenia Bonham4721400<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You will need a Secret security clearance.Response by CSM Ethenia Bonham made Jun 14 at 2019 8:46 AM2019-06-14T08:46:46-04:002019-06-14T08:46:46-04:002019-06-10T00:09:08-04:00
