What last minute tips do you have for a 15W leaving for basic at Fort Sill?

Basic is all about getting your mind right. I loved it both times. Just know you will get yelled at, threatened and smoked, but you will also learn a lot of cool shit. 15W school is kick ass. You will still be under drill sgts, but you will have much more freedom. Don’t let that go to your head. Get your work done and keep in mind the awesome stuff you will be able to do when you get to Big Army or civilian sector. I hope that helps.

Basic training is its own element. As for AIT for 15W, there is nothing I can say besides have a good study habit. About to graduate from gray eagle at fort Huachuca and all we do is study at the school house when we aren't flying. Just make it through basic training before worrying about AIT.

Do what you are told to do. It is that easy. Passing Basic is just the first step in your career. Learn what you can, do what you are told and move on to AIT and learn everything you can. That is where you will make you money when you get to your first unit.
