The map tool is probably the same as when I went through, FM3-25.26 Map Reading and Navigation. It&#39;s a lot easier to teach people technology if they actually understand how to navigate with a map and compass. Falconview, AMPS, etc.). Especially looking terrain analysis tools (e.g., intervisibilty, elevation key terrain, trafficability, etc), and preparing maps for OPORDs (i.e., map symbol functions), solar/lunar functions (i.e., don&#39;t select an OP that forces you to look directly to the moon low on the horizon with NVGs We used SLAP). We had this stuff 20 years ago when I retired. Has nothing got better?
