I personally am a news junkie.... So I like to read the left, right, center, foreign - everyone's take on an event. It's actually comical watching biased opinions from both sides. Some viewers might pick one side or one party at face value in 'blind loyalty.' ...but I'd at times consider that ignorance.

It can actually be more disheartening to see what is NOT covered based on media-bias though.

COL Lee Flemming Sir, I do not trust the media because there is a noticeable bias. The media is also quick to report on stories without gathering and verifying the facts. It is important to be the first to report a story, even though the information being reported is wrong. It seems to me that the media is more biased today than in years past.

None of them. Not even "the court of public opinion."

Everyone is trying to sell you their angle. If you are liberal (conservative or whatever) then you watch liberal news outlets and read liberal opinion pieces. There is no real "fair and balanced". I try to watch multiple sources to get a better picture of what is really going on. But even then that is a stretch.

None- our local paper misquotes to fit the story and at election time the first few pages tells their subscribers who they should vote for in their opinion. How is that fairness in "journalism"? Usually heavy left leaning. TV media- don't get me started. The easiest, bloodiest, most sensational story catches the lead and if reported incorrectly they don't really correct it. The one I have some trust in is BBC International. They don't take sides, but just explain what the two sides are and what the result is. Japan Times isn't too bad either.

I don't. The media's sole function is to sell ads. In order to do this, they focus on a subset of the population and pander to that group. I look at liberal and conservative news and find where they line up. That is normally the truth.

Read multiple sources, but don't trust any of them. There will always be an inherent bias in reporting and often the material provided to the media to report on is provided for a reason.

The media has always been biased. That said, the bias wasn't readily noticeable until another company rose up to challenge that bias with an opposing view. Today there are FIVE companies that feed all news sources. With ratings and advertising dollars at stake, sensationalism and being in the lead takes precedence over facts and/or agendas. When you identify the bias, it's easy to see the pattern to extrapolate the truth.

I say it often but it is so well said. Mark Twain " to be informed you need to read papers, but you will be misinformed". I find a lot of sources and try to compare. Take the recent kerfuffle over Obama and his place of Birth. The whole thing started with Hillary Clinton SUPPORTERS. Well the lame stream media tried to blame Trump and claimed it was racist. Well why is it racist now and not when Hillary supporters did it? Oh never mind us poor deplorable state wouldn't understand.

None really. When I watch the news I tend to watch multiple sources to see what is said by all parties. Fox, NBC, CNN, and then maybe some internet sources or youtube videos depending on the event in question.

Not just the media but the so called fact checkers. It isn't so much what they put out, but what they leave out. Another example would the BLS promulgating a 4.9% unemployment rate while not highlighting the U-6 94 Million that have given up looking for work or out of Unemployment days.

I like opinion journalism that isn't part of the mainstream media and is very clear about their political affiliation/agenda as opposed to those who attempt to hide their bias under the facade of being "fair and balanced".

No trust whatsoever. I watch and read multiple sources from Fox to Democracy Now! Wash Post and WSJ to Indymedia and the internet and pretty much everything in between. Then try to find a happy medium. I admit some of the bias is almost comical.
