I love this representation of the Forward Observer.
This piece was done by Pat Kelley and was purchased at the Hobbit Hobby Shop just off of Fort Bragg.

First Sergeant, amazing is right. I think you have assisted me find a class gift for my class attending the Captain Career Course.

As an FO, I find this one hilarious and somewhat true to the nature of our MOS. "Kill it all, blow it all up, take 'em all out".
I don't have any links at the moment. But I like this type of stuff more than most. Of course, there are always the inspiring prints of military life that are good too. I like the humorous ones most though.

Did you notice the ETAC on the right with the bulging eyes. Always fun to tease our Air Force brothers. Though we both know JTACs are held in high esteem.

The JTACs that I have worked with have always been good sports about the teasing, and they can give as good as they get too. The ones I have met are great guys and it was a pleasure to work with them as well as give them a good ribbing once in awhile.

Not sure where the line is between art and memorial, maybe they're one in the same.
But this image left an impression on me, I haven't had the opportunity to see this installation in person, but I would like to.

I think this is a good thread for those we are trying to get to join can see the substance of some things we discuss between us as current and former military, soft spoken as well as informational and mentoring types of postings.
We also have fun at times while remaining professional.

Well, I looked and looked and there have been NO responses from any Sea Service members to this point. I have to make a response and there are multiple I could choose from today, however, WWII was rich in Propaganda and Recruiting Posters that often tried to outdo each other. Some use the power of money, some patriotism, others pride of service and many just plain sex appeal. You get the idea.

I really enjoy aircraft nose art. Here is one I took from a B-52 about a year ago. It is rather tame compared to others that I've seen in the past.

Yes, I agree that many of the WWII examples of art were some of the best. Our propaganda was equal to and often exceeded that of Germany and its Allies.

Sir,
This would never depict a "true" DS , that would've never happened in the military ;)

The best military art I have come across is Armor/CAV depicting famous events in our history.
