I have over 70 coins, that I have accumulated throughout my 24 years of active duty, but there is one that means a lot. In respect to my beloved late friend SSG Eric Lawson, I dedicate this coin to you in your memory. This coin was given to me by the 1SG of the 359th ICTC for moral support on the loss of SGT Lawson 27 July 2013 in Afghanistan. This coin means a lot for its self-worth and what it means to me.

My first challenge coin was presented to me in the Marine Corps by the Commanding Officer of MSSG-24 (Camp LeJeune)
Most memorable challenge coin (pictured) was presented about a month before 9/11 while working in the Pentagon.

Completely understand battle. I was the CAO for SSG Lawson's mother after his death. It was very humbling to get to know Eric through his family and friends in GA. It was a very tough time for all involved as I had just returned from a deployment and dealing with my own issues/scars. Knowing what kind of person Eric is makes this coin all the more special. It will be nice to see how EJ carries on that legacy!

I received a coin from DMI-6 LTC Garrett during my time as a mountaineering instuctor at West Point and a coin from the Vice-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff ADM, Mullen during a Q&A session in Kuwait while waiting to board our flight for inquiring about better armor and vehicles for our troops.
