The S-1 Actual was always a Captain (O-3) and in one place, we had an assistant S-1, who was a 1LT (O-2). At one point, before they assigned a permanent S-1, we had a Blackhawk pilot (CPT) as the S-1 Actual. Those were good times-- I got to spin-up the S-1 on policies and procedures, and he never kept us late on Fridays.Response by SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 2 at 2020 9:43 AM2020-12-02T09:43:44-05:002020-12-02T09:43:44-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member6545548<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It depends on unit MTOE, but in my battalion for example, there are 27Ds as well.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 2 at 2020 11:05 AM2020-12-02T11:05:04-05:002020-12-02T11:05:04-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member6545848<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’ve seen 11B’s in the S1.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 2 at 2020 1:26 PM2020-12-02T13:26:55-05:002020-12-02T13:26:55-05:00SSgt Christophe Murphy6546144<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You could very well have somebody working in there as a temp replacement or someone cross training for a lateral move.
