As I used the term in the army: nothing.<br /><br />I work hard because if I don't, they may fire me. There's no real over-sight, which I thought was a good thing. In fact, their main reason for hiring was because I understood what needed to be done and could handle it by myself, which is completely true. But my employer's expectations are impossible.<br /><br />I stay because my resume looks like crap; full of temp-jobs and part-time employment since 2011.<br /><br />But, coffee helps. But the biggest motivation is Knowing where am at is a stepping stone to bigger things in the Army, and knowing I am going to work hard everyday is what motivates me. I like to set personal suspenses to get things done, so meeting them is a big motivator as well...keeping me ahead of the power curve!! Lastly growth!! I want to learn something new as often as possible so I can be more well rounded and knowledgeable. But when I worked as a testing technetion at AT&amp;T, maintenance. I would pull up all the trouble tickets and grab all the ones that were related. Over five tickets is considers and outage. I worked on major outages. Coordinating repair and design changes.
