My goal was to obtain my degree and then work on the Space Program. When I had my degree, I took a big cut in pay to start work on the Space Shuttle program, where I stayed for 33 years, until the program ended. I did not become rich working on the Space Shuttle program, but I had a job that I loved. In all three of those cases I thought the underlying issue was management incompetence but kept my mouth shut. In two of the cases I wanted the seperation package because I knew it would be large. In one case where I initiated the seperation it was with the former EDS right after being selected for and going through their Management Internship Program and learning the company's philosophy on granting raises to people. After I heard that chapter in the Management Training course there was no doubt it was time to find another company. Turns out it was a good decision because a few years later the company all but collapsed and shrunk to 1/4 it's former size and then HP bought them.
