What movies provide the best leadership tips?

There are plenty of sports movies that teach leadership values and teamwork. A few examples such as Remember the Titans, Hoosiers and Glory Road. There are also military movies such as The Last Castle, Men of Honor and We Were Soldiers. This list goes on and on but these are some of my favorites and they all have some valuable lessons to keep in your leadership toolbox.

I will say "We were soldiers." Mel Gibson kills it in this. Both the Battalion commander and the CSM are great examples of leadership.

I enjoyed The Crossing about Washington's army crossing of the Deleware River to attack the Hatians. It is an intimate portrayal of Washington's almost insurmountable tribulations to build a stable army, supply them, control his subordinates, and will them to victory under the austere conditions of winter.

One such movie that may get overlooked is Blackhawk Down. Sgt. Eversmann is tasked with the job as chalk leader at the last moment. He took his guys out and did what had to be done in order to complete the mission and keep his chalk intact. Despite taking on casualties, he showed what every leader should be like--enlisted or officer.
