What specific multitool would you recommend to someone of a specific field. For example, I recommend the Leatherman MUT EOD to EOD personnel. Further, I've been using this Swiss Tool (general purpose) for more than 15 years (almost 20 really). It has been the BEST overall tool I ever used. I will be a gerber and benchmade user for life. They have a lifetime warranty. I have sent in 2 gerbers that were broken at work. All I did was pay the shipping and they refurbished them and sent them back in a new case. Same goes for benchmade. Same with Gerber multi-tools. My first Leatherman lasted forever and had just the right feel for everything in my career field (Aircraft Sheetmetal repair) Gerbers were not bad either. Many shops got them and placed them in their tool boxes. Awesome tools for almost every need. The base model of both is my vote. Tough as nails, well made and just awesome go too tools.

About 4 years ago, my wife got me a SOG Power Assist for my birthday. I have used the crap out of this multi tool and to me it compares with my old leatherman's. I have attachments you can add onto the screwdriver with various bits. Also has a lifetime warranty, which I have used.
