I do not recommend getting married or proposing when you first start in the military. you are barely now beginning to gain an appreciation for military life. I am only saying this because I have seen so many younger soldiers do the same thing. Unfortunately many of them have failed. We have an extremely high divorce rate in the military. Getting married when you first join the military is one of the reasons that contribute to this.
