Just a thought.
Nice Townhomes off post, off of Rucker Blvd are $90-100k and with the VA loan rates under 3% you can save a ton of money ($500 mortgage) and build equity and if you wanna keep it will rent out for double and pay for itself. And only a 10min drive to Post

I thought about it but I think I would like to be on post for training just for the convenience but I may reconsider

I lived in Bowden Terrace in the newer housing. It was great! You can send them specific preferences too. Like no neighbors behind your house, not on a main road, next to a park, etc.
