If you really want CS, you'd be more likely to find a CS program with a concentration in business admin (rather than the other way around). Essentially, do you want to run organizations and have a more sophisticated knowledge of how data is collected, processed, and used for effective decision-making, or do you want to be more focused on making computers do stuff while also having a better understanding of the business environment? IM/IT is the former, CS is the latter. Business admin and CS are normally housed in completely different schools within a university, and that's why the combination of the two is unusual.

Wanting an online program complicates matters, but there may be some good options out there for you that we can help you find. If your focus is business admin first (and then CS or IM/IT second), then I'd recommend narrowing your search to AACSB-accredited business schools.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member might be able to weigh in on this topic too. That's all that really matters with online schooling. The classwork is often similar and the methods from school to school don't differ too much. I'd just look over all of your options and ensure that they are accredited so that if and or when you move on to a different institution, you aren't at a higher risk to lose all of that work. Years ago I had taken an IT Management course where I learned a decent amount from the business perspective when I've always been more of an administrator. They're also very military friendly. What are the choices for online for those of us not in the Army currently? I ETS'd and went to the University of Wisconsin. Back when I was in the Army the only decent offerings were Embre Riddle University and University of Maryland..........the rest were crap.

One thing you might want to do is just focus on your Business Degree and take the IT courses at local community colleges and build to an IT associates degree over time. I hit the heavy programming language courses and mixed with Corporate training after I graduated. Never liked the MIT major. I completed an MBA with them nearly two years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed the program. It was rigorous, but do-able. I learned so many concepts that I use in my job, such as decision models, optimization tools and some excellent data mining techniques; not to mention some financial concepts I was able to apply to some of my personal finances.

While my concentration was in Marketing, AMU does have Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology Management. You can check out the program here: https://catalog.apus.edu/undergraduate/academic-programs/bachelors/bachelor-business-administration/#text

Finally, the online delivery that AMU provides fit my lifestyle perfectly. I travel for work frequently, but was always able to keep up with my studies. I especially appreciated the level of predictability offered within the classroom. I always knew what was expected and when it was required.

Additionally, this program has earned specialized accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
