SGT Private RallyPoint Member Highway Operations Sergeant in 2008-2009, but I actually did contracting/procurement. Turned out I like it and its a lifetime passion...sweet.

Technically I was a soldier but I have functioned as janitor, mechanic, nanny, proofreader, paper shredder, and cat herder.

I have to admit, they have all been appropriate titles pre and post retirement, but, then again, I'm the type that as long as that title isn't "unemployed"? I'm good!!! :)

SGT Private RallyPoint Member, I guess I would go with Platoon SGT. It was more like Dad, Mom, Counselor, Teacher, Probation Officer, Bounty Hunter, Enforcer, Brother and Friend. I guess that's what you sign up for when you become a Platoon SGT. I tell you one thing though, I wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world.

Interesting. I don't know about title problem but I would say there were several jobs where I went Huh What, CTO1 Cryptologic Technician Communications Appointed Staff Master at Arms to Chief of Staff Commander Space and Naval Warfare Command, Washington, DC. I wasn't trained for that and Learned it on the Fly, same with Urinalysis Coordinator CNO WWMCCS/NARDAC and Division Damage Control Petty Officer USS Arkansas CGN-41 and USS California CGN-36.
