I just used Blue Magic and it gave me a B to A+ results. It only costs $7 a bottle and does not require a lot of elbow grease.

I tried toothpaste but it did nothing for me, but if it works for you, congratulations.

Its got to be the gritty kind. I use it on my glasses when they get scratched up too.

CPT Joseph K Murdock, I use the Mother's headlight cleaning system. It has everything you need except the drill. You won't be sorry.

I turn to the old fashioned way and wash them, fill a spray bottle with water and a few drops of dish soap, 1000 grit sand paper, 2000 grit 3000 grit a good buffing compound and a uv protecting wax. After washing them start with the 1000 grit always keeping the lens wet with the spray bottle, when you have completely covered the entire lens and are sure no scratches remain move to the next grit and finish with the 3000 grit. Dry completely , use the buffing compound and when the lens is all buffed out wax it to seal it, Ive tried numerous techniques and find that chemicals tend to melt the plastic even though you may not notice...they do...

Thank you for that technique, but I am not intellectually stable enough to use it. :)

I would also tape off the paint surrounding the light, you do NOT want to fuck up your paint with that shit. You could always buff it out, but it will end up eating into your clear coat either way.
