What recognition do you show your spouse her/his sacrifices?

My wife has, in my opinion, done so much to sustain our family during separations and deployments. She doesn't ask for much in return, but one way I've shown her my appreciation is with the Atta Girl jewelry. They're like medals/ribbons for necklaces and bracelets. When I gave her the first few for Christmas several years ago, she/we broke down for the sake of finally being show some sort of emblem of appreciation.

We we/she reaches new milestones, I always get her these; and now that my oldest child is a young woman, I've started getting these for her too.

My Spouse received an award for the Army Engineer Association for her role in our redeployment for the single soldiers and many other volunteer over the years.

The Essayons Award
"This award pays homage to all the great spouses across the Engineer Regiment. The AEA established the Essayons Award to honor spouses who have voluntarily made significant contributions to the morale, welfare, and spirit of engineer units and organizations."

A couple of years ago I talked to the Battalion Commander about submiting my wife for the Commanders Award for Public Service for the countless number of hours she volunteered to serve the Battalion (no joke, people thought she was on payroll she was here that often). He thought it was such a good idea he wrote the award himself. The list of things she advised and assisted on would go on for much to long for my typing abilities so I will not list them but if your spouse has made a difference check this out, My wife was touched and greatful for the gesture although she has never done the things she has for the glory of herself, she has a true love to help others.

Thank you MSgt Private RallyPoint Member for posting this, I had never heard of them before and think it is an excellent way for us to honor our spouses. I know I would not have done as much as I have as well as I have without her support and guidence.

MSgt Schrubb, I use upper case fonts due to the importance of the matter! WHEN DID YOU LAST SEND YOUR SPOUSE-S/O A GREETING CARD IN THE US MAIL? WHEN DID YOU LAST TAKE HER TO A NICE DINNER-ALONE? WHEN WERE YOU ALONE TOGETHER FOR PURE PLEASURE? I'se older it is easy for me, now I see her appreciation for similar expressions of love, affection and appreciation.
