What regulation covers moving government equipment in a POV?

You need to be more specific. I move my issued government equipment in my POV every month. I have used my POV to transport government-owned furniture (but I suspect i would not be able to make a damage claim for my vehicle). I will not move weapons or other SII in a POV, but have done so many times in a GSA vehicle.

I would be very careful putting Government Owned equipment, aside from OCIE of course, in a POV. At least get a memo from your Commander that gives you permission to transport Government equipment in a POV. Those random MP Stops or Traffic Checkpoints it could raise unnecessary questions.

You have to say what you are trying to move. I can use my POV to transport equipment. I bring home my GOV computer all the time. Now, if it's a sensitive item then that's another story. You shouldn't be transporting radios, weapons, or sensitive computers by POV unless you have approval.
