<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>1. You don't throw away any gear unless you want to buy it. 2. Damaged/unfit gear (in your mind) should be taken to the supply NCOIC for verification and determination. 3. Do what he says, if it is CIF issue they can arrange a Direct (e)Xchange for the item.SGM Bill FrazerSun, 18 Apr 2021 22:09:12 -04002021-04-18T22:09:12-04:00Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 18 at 2021 10:25 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Download your clothing record. It will say right on it what you can keep. ETS and PCS Trans. Yes on both means you can keep it / throw it away.LTC Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 18 Apr 2021 22:25:22 -04002021-04-18T22:25:22-04:00Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 18 at 2021 10:33 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It's not a matter of what CIF will issue or not issue, it's a matter of what is turned back in or not. Your clothing record dictates what is ETS/PCS transferrable. If it's not Transferrable but has wear and tear, get with your unit supply to get that item turned in and exchanged.MSG Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 18 Apr 2021 22:33:40 -04002021-04-18T22:33:40-04:00Response by SSG Robert Perrotto made Apr 19 at 2021 1:14 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If it's on your CIF record. the safest and least financially harmful thing to do is keep it, and get with your leadership for a direct exchange. After every fields problem, an inspection of gear should be done by leadership to determine what items need to be replaced, and how it will be replaced. It's all part of the recovery phase of field training and deployments.SSG Robert PerrottoMon, 19 Apr 2021 01:14:13 -04002021-04-19T01:14:13-04:002021-04-18T22:01:40-04:00
