What resources are available to target and locate careers that directly help veterans and/or children? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-resources-are-available-to-target-and-locate-careers-that-directly-help-veterans-and-or-children <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>After 20+ years of marketing and management experience with engineering firms, I seek a position that is meaningful to me. Veterans and young children are near and dear to my heart, and I would like my daily work to measurably help either or both of those groups. I&#39;m unsure how to start, or if there are any positions that would be realistic. I would be extremely grateful for any input. Thank you. My experience is that is your best bet. Despite the pr bs most seem to only offer veterans the bare minimum if any help at all. Although I am an Expatriate, I was paid the low end of the local salary. However, I was expected to perform three senior functions together. I protested. The Regional President, a Brit with an OBE, explained that the only position available was General Manager in Operations and the vacant positions report to me in the Ops Directorate, which means that I must achieve their goals apart from my own until the HRD fills those vacant spaces. The HRD never filled the vacuum in my section and I never got the extra pay deserved. The Operations Director explained further that as a Veteran of the Armed Forces, the leadership expects more for less out of me. This was their way of reading efficiency and effectiveness. With your experience, research organizations that provide services you feel would be beneficial to Vets and young children, then fit your concepts of how you could market the services the company already supplies to other markets into your application. Providing your concept of expanding the companies customer base would certainly have caught my attention when I was reviewing applications.
