What route should an AD Spouse take with an unprofessional/non-responsive recruiter? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-route-should-an-ad-spouse-take-with-an-unprofessional-non-responsive-recruiter

A friend of our family is seeking to commission as a SWO. His wife is currently deployed and he reached out for some advice. The recruiting office he's been going to has exhibited some very alarming traits such as "lost paperwork, interrupting his OAR/ASTB exam, ghosting on communication" etc. He's already been forced to miss a SWO Board this year because of the office not conveying deadlines/missing requirements etc to him. I would hesitate to tell him to file an ICE comment because it is the only officer recruiter near him. The issues span from the enlisted up to the O3 he's working with. Any advice that I may be able to provide would be great. Find a way to make it work. If that is going to the Regional Commander, then so be it. If the people that are supposed to do the right thing and aren't. keep pushing to find one that will. My officer recruiter sucked at his job and I missed a couple of dates for things and had to wait until they came around again before I could progress with my packet. Eventually, through back channels, I was told of a mandatory date for packet submission and if I missed it, I would have to wait another 4-6 months. So, I took a day off work and went in and parked myself at my recruiter's desk and told him I would not leave until my packet was complete and submitted and I didn't. He suddenly was able to get it complete with me sitting there and I watched him submit. A few months later I received commissioning orders so it worked out.

I won't even begin to tell you about my commissioning bonus and how he screwed that up.
