I went AGR and my base allows movement with my resource. Free medical, gi bill, tax incentives on the agr side. One thing to keep in mind if you are thinking dual statues gs stuff is that the gs side is being converted from title 32 to title 5 (no military affiliation) Response by SrA Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 23 at 2017 9:38 PM 2017-09-23T21:38:01-04:00 2017-09-23T21:38:01-04:00 CPT Andrew Wright 2942015 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It would have to be a very good GS job to beat the pay and benefits of the military. With AGR you are also more likely to progress personally and professionaly as a leader. Transferred from the Regular Army for an AGR slot (C-12 pilot). Retiring in 93 and going Civil Service (FG-1825-14) serving a second career with the FAA. Both careers were awesome! You rarely get the same experience in leading soldiers.
