GS job for the long term. Not a Miltech, avoid the Army Reserves.

Depends on what you want. I went AGR and my base allows movement with my resource. Free medical, gi bill, tax incentives on the agr side. One thing to keep in mind if you are thinking dual statues gs stuff is that the gs side is being converted from title 32 to title 5 (no military affiliation)

It would have to be a very good GS job to beat the pay and benefits of the military. With AGR you are also more likely to progress personally and professionaly as a leader.

I prefer the GS side but that's me. It all depends if you want to keep wearing the uniform or not.

I did both. Transferred from the Regular Army for an AGR slot (C-12 pilot). Retiring in 93 and going Civil Service (FG-1825-14) serving a second career with the FAA. Both careers were awesome!

Federal job that works in conjunction with your M-day job.
You will get more experience as an NCO not being an AGR. You rarely get the same experience in leading soldiers.
