What’s authorized as a PPE face mask when in uniform (e.g. scarves and bandannas)?

There’s a bit of confusion around this. With people getting yelled at for being out of uniform, for wearing a scarf. But trying to adhere to regulations in my unit.

I think it's funny how N95s are unauthorized because they're in short supply. I've acquired a good amount of these, before covid ever hit our shores, but I can't wear them because medical people need them? Lol but seriously though, thanks for sharing this

Most units have set policy up to the Post/Base by now. This should be a non issue. Ask your command what the policy is.

While there is no regulation covering this, you should observe what most others are wearing and wear the same. If you are really in doubt - ask you First Sergeant for guidance.
