Most will comply. For the few outliers that refuse, they'll be very loud and boisterous during the separation process, be shown the door, and we'll all forget they existed 20 minutes later.
The Army is a big machine that will keep chugging along. In they end, they'll barely be a footnote, and none of their names will be remembered.

It’s an eventuality. The question isn’t if but when.

It’s happening across all Departments within the Federal Government.

I’m with USDA and all of the first round disciplinary letters are going out starting Jan 3rd. Preliminary warning letters went out last month to everyone who failed to meet the deadline to receive the vaccine.

It will happen methodically but it’ll be pretty quick once it starts rolling

Potential isn't even a consideration. If, by the deadline, the vaccination is not taken due to refusal and not granted immunity via medical nor religious exemptions...then a Chapter WILL happen. How I feel? Well, it's the game we chose to play that has specific rules. Don't wanna play by the given rules....then have a safe ride back to civilian life.

Everyone's general feeling and thoughts mean nothing in this situation. It is simply going to happen whether we want it to or not. I have soldiers in my unit that will be sent packing because they refuse to comply. We all signed a contract, it is what it is... follow orders or follow the signs out of the building and off the base...

The interesting thing will be once the other party gets in power, whenever that is, will it be rescinded or not. And if it is, what happens to all of those who were previously chaptered or discharged because of refusal to comply?

This is so sad. We all know this mandate is going to be backed up with the UCMJ; although, I wish it hadn’t come to happen at all. I am one of those that believe that this COVID hysteria price is all being paid for by the healthy. This is your fight, current soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, so my old veteran opinion counts for nothing, other than I wish it hadn’t been mandated. This causes many to choose between their God, their conscience, and their career. So sad.

The 1st and the 15th. The Army pays me on those days, pretty regularly too. If they need me to get the vaccine to continue this arrangement, totally fine with me.

while you Are in the Military, you are and will be required to take all kinds of shot's that is why you have a shot record. In the 27 years I have been in the Military, I have taken almost every shot required, some good and some really bad, the GG shot comes to mind. the only shot I have never taken was for an STD, (clap) but they have pills for that! (I heard)

I'm mixed on this. First of all, I can't count all of the times I lined up for a 'shot' or pills. Didn't even think to question it.....I simply accepted it was what I needed to do. The problem is, leadership is politicizing this and I think that's what's making the CCP Wuhan Virus VAXs an issue. I think any other time in American military history if it wasn't so 'political', service members would simply do it because its expected. I think the issue of MANDATE is what has everyone's ire and dander up - and I admit, I understand that. The Armed Forces have always been inundated with 'forced (another term for mandated) fun, medical, physical training, etc' and we all signed on for it....but somehow, this is different. I'm not sure I agree with chaptering...but then again, you signed on the dotted line and whether or not you like it, getting VAXed is part of the regimen. I disagree with the Military's stance on not accepting Religious or other waivers - that is simply WRONG....but then, if suddenly everyone claims a religious stance against the VAX, well - that would simply negate the exception, you think? ATEOTD - there is no simple answer to this.

I am sorry. IMHO...We all got a battery of vaccinations when we signed up, this is no different. 2 options. Get the needle or get out. An unvaccinated service member puts others at risk and we are communal. (barracks, aircraft, ships, large formations). It is that simple. As a former Commander, I never liked signing off on separations but in some cases, it's absolutely necessary for the good of the service.

No one should ever be forced to take anything but that's the way the military works and it's pathetically sad! And that's one thing that needs to be changed in the military is this so-called signing over your body and your life to them while you're in.
