What's RallyPoint's "strongest feature?"

Now that many of us have had a chance to see the massive potential of RallyPoint first-hand, it definitely seems to succeed where others have fallen short-of-the-mark. So, what's your thoughts? What features would you focus on... perhaps, fostering meaningful relationships and the ability to produce tangible results... if so, what useful feedback can you provide to improve an already great model? Some of the strengths of the platform may be considered: a) robust & honest discussion threads, b) streamlined design & results-focused approach, c) the addition of a senior advisory panel, and d) a highly interested, competent & engaged staff. Please feel free to share your thoughts, insight, research, observations, opinions, and/or anything else that may be useful. I look forward hearing your awesome ideas; thank you for all that you do, and... see you all in the discussion threads!

I think the fact that it is able to continually expand and accept ideas and suggestions from members is one of its biggest asset and feature, to go along with the open staff that are very interactive with the members and provide direct contact with them as well.

As a junior soldier and someone who only recently discovered Rally-Point, the strongest feature to me is just having the capability now to reach out to others of all ranks and branches. I feel being able to have discussions with people of all ranks and branches of service is extremely important in developing good relationships within the military and solidifying the brotherhood (and sisterhood) we find in the service. This site has a lot of potential and the ability to influence many people not only to become great leaders, but to embody what it truly means to be apart of something bigger and collaborate ideas, especially those ideas and ideals passed down from generation to generation.

For me, the strongest feature is "Answers". RP came to my life in perfect time before become NCO/Officer. I am learning so much and definitely every day for me is an opportunity to be a better soldier, better leader!

RP has provided a street level view of issues important to service members today.

RP has helped me find and reconnect with colleagues from many years ago.

RP has given me an opportunity to counsel / mentor / help current officers.

RP provides guidance from those that have paved the way. The leaders of today, are able to obtain an insight on transition between the ranks. This is a way to bridge the gap.

For future leaders of tomorrow, it is a safe platform to be able to be developed, and hear different view points.

The ability to tackle the elephant in the room, Intergenerational PTSD, veterans that are currently homeless, and provide all veterans a way to attach to their military family and not feel alone.

As a veteran who is extremely new (only 1 week) it is outstanding to find a platform that only allows Active Duty, Veterans and very trusted civilian contacts in one place. With me being a veteran, and hopefully a trusted civilian company in the future, I believe this Social site will have nothing but a successful outcome for both sides. All in all, this will be the most relied upon and trusted source for whatever the future holds for so many of the members already signed up.

Sir, I love the ability to reach out to my CMF and see what they are seeing and not have to wait for so to say a NCOES school to meet some of my peers. The ability to see projected PCS dates of my peers and possible openings is another plus. I would love to see a feature where I can click on certain CMF's and see what the audience is and providing a sub forum in that nature as oppose to trying to add people to our network that do not know you and might feel hesitate.

Thanks for your service also. I've only been with RP a short while, so it's all new to me. If I had to choose the strongest feature it would be the ability to connect to the awesome members and staff with just a click. Afterall RP's membership consist of the cream of the crop... soldiers.

I really love that it gives a social networking site a professional setting. At first, I thought it might become sort of a gray area. But I have interacted with NCOs, Senior Leaders and Commissioned Officers who are nothing but the best of the best. I love the influence points system because it really gives you an idea of who has done what. This has been such a valuable resource for me and I can't wait to see when it really takes off.

I would say that the strongest feature is the fact that Rally Point is all-inclusive and gives the user not only the chance to use the system as a contact base, but also as an invaluable tool to learn from other branches as well.

To me the strongest feature of RallyPoint is RallyPoint itself. I am able to connect with soldiers and leaders across the services and utilize them for advice and mentorship as well as myself being utilized. The leadership examples that one can gain here can be far greater then any ADP or FM can teach you. This is one of the best leader to leader forums that can exist.

I think the ability for all of service members to be able to reach to one another for advice, tips, discuss current events or to even mentor one another is the strongest feature. We all won't always agree, but we can learn from each other for sure.

I think it would be difficult to batten down a 'strongest feature'. If I have to pick one thing that RallyPoint has going for it I would center on "RESOURCE". The platform lends the ability -without jumping through a bunch of hoops, filters, security, and restrictions - to obtain real time answers to questions and a knowledge pool that is some of the best out there.

The best way to improve RallyPoint (and yourself) is time spent. The more you do, the more you get out of it, the more you improve on what you have.

I enjoy the ability to be able to follow the current events of my current and past units as well and keeping in touch with those I've served with but I think the best feature is the ability to see the people and information of place where you could PCS to

With DKO gone, the AKO promise broken, and tightening of IA on the internal networks, RallyPoint has some strategic strengths and tactical weaknesses.

I think it is both a good social media platform for Service Members and Veterans. Its a platform that SMs and Vets can catch up on or even talk about things that a non military person can understand. So its a great tool for Veterans to find the guys and gals he or she served with either to reach out for help or to reach out to be the help. With PTSD being the #1 topic in our Military ranks its sites like this one that help make a difference. And that is a therapy that is free of charge, and you cant beat that kind of help. I have witnessed how websites like facebook, twitter and RP help out veterans by simply connecting. What is weird is that Veterans and SM open up to each other because each can relate to ones experiences. And I hope this site provides that for the troops that will ETS or RET in the next 5-10 years.

I like the comradery shown here throughout all branches.

I feel it keeps me connected to the Military.

I also enjoy the networking and getting to know those from the other branches. It's amazing how similar each branch is, even with all of our differences.

I also enjoy the opportunity to help and or mentor current service members.

I think that one of the strongest features is being able to reach out to people with the same rank and situations as you from around the country and world. It is a refreshing change from other social media where you can't have the same depth of discussions.
