The single best mandolin I&#39;ve played was actually a Mandocello at Music Emporium in Lexington, MA. It&#39;s a 20&#39;s era Gibson, and the notes just sink into the floor boards. After a workshop in Portland a few years back, David just handed it to me and said, "here, pick on this a bit," and he left the room and didn't come back for an hours and a half. One of the best mandolins ever made. Just my opinion, bur is right.
