What's the best way to get folk to join RallyPoint?

What has been your most effective method of making fellow service members aware of rally point and getting them to sign up?

Sir,  I talk about it.  I speak about the good things that's happening on here and I steadily invite anyone I may run into.  I also try and connect with as many people in my local area as possible.  Each one reach one.

Word of mouth has been my most effective means of recruiting,
to be honest its how I found out about the site.

I would think that getting RP involved in the community is the next step. For now RP is the military linkedin but once RP has a real world face more will be drawn to it.

CH (MAJ) Private RallyPoint Member I tell all my military buddies, you know that Facebook Social media Site...well this is sort of like that x 10 but just for vets and active duty. I place the ball in their court. Like they say, you can lead a horse to water....you know the rest of that story.

Vets are leary of trying new things. I was on RP for a year before I took my RP career seriously.

In that one year, I received an UNSAT on my NCOER, so I buckled down this year. I want to get an excellent in all areas...looks like next year will be even better.

From the retired side, I just thank them for their service and shake their hand and tell them to go to the website and if they like what they see, give it a shot. I don't mention my name or getting credit for having them join, that way they don't think I am trying to sell anything. My wife helps me out too. She sees the emblems on cars, hats, shirts, and points them out to me. I have a good rapport with the case managers at the VA I tell them to mention RallyPoint to clients who feel isolated, cutoff, or who are struggling with the transition from the military. I am trying to get a table at the next fund raising for homeless veterans.
