You need to stack it with legitimate hardships you can document for it to actually be considered. <br /><br />The thing is the system should work for you through your chain of command to make things work out. RST&#39;s, IRR, transfer to a less demanding OPTEMPO unit. All of these are actions that can be executed at the Company Commander level. <br /><br />An RST here, an excused absence there, and before you know it you can have worked out an entire year. Why do you want to become a Marine, how much time do you have remaining on your Army National Guard contract, and have you talked to a Marine Recruiter? I have also attached a post dealing with writing the letter.<br /><br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-should-i-address-a-letter-to-the-adjutant-general-of-the-ms-national-guard">https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-should-i-address-a-letter-to-the-adjutant-general-of-the-ms-national-guard</a><br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-can-i-go-from-reserves-to-active-duty-and-what-are-the-chances">https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-can-i-go-from-reserves-to-active-duty-and-what-are-the-chances</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/574/701/qrc/fb_share_logo.png?1605318829"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/how-should-i-address-a-letter-to-the-adjutant-general-of-the-ms-national-guard">How should I address a letter to the Adjutant General of the MS National Guard? | RallyPoint</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">I’m currently writing the AG of MS about my conditional release I’m needing guidance on how I address the letter. TAGs are invested in the MDAYs&#39; employment opportunities, even if it means losing one to get him to work.
