Your rank and pay might be higher up on the totem pole, but there’s never a circumstance that you can’t learn from those who have done what you wish you could. Work details will teach you a how to lead as well as follow. Qualifications will get you out of crappy details and working parties, great for Evals and makes you a better sailor.
