The worst(best) example I can give is the WWII French Fourragere. When I arrived at my unit I was told I had to have it, yet for every inspection, ceremony, and formal event was instructed to remove it. I was also recently told by one of my NCOs that we were no longer authorized to wear it. I have tried using the interwebs but cannot find a definitive answer. What's the easiest way to determine what unit citations to wear? 2014-08-31T02:25:41-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 222954 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've had difficulty in the past in determining which unit citations I was authorized to wear. That's the easiest way... ;o) You CAN go to HRC records, but I'm not sure how far back those records go. For permanent wear, it gets a bit more complicated because there is often a lag time (sometimes years) from the citation being awarded and the final permanent orders posted in HRC records. As for unit citation ribbons- you wear what the unit has been awarded, then when you leave off they come-Unless you were in the unit when it was awarded, of during the time the award covers.
