Did you PCS to Arifjan or DEPLOY to Arifjan? Chances are this was considered a deployment, and the normal dwell time is 3-5 yrs. Here is the latest reference I could find:

ALARACT 253-2007

Bear in mind this is rather old and could have changed.

By the way, AR 614-30 just released a new version today that goes into effect 22 Jan 17. Not a lot of changes to your specific situation, but just wanted to keep everyone abreast of the update. Also, if you get stationed in Europe, USAREUR has a supplement AE regulation that ties into AR 614-30.
