So on break an hour later I checked and then he laughed saying he would never lie or joke about promotions! I said thanks and went back to packing my parachute over n over! I was deployed in Kuwait during the E7 testing cycle, so I tested when I got back. About 2-3 months later, I just happen to be on vMPF (I think) and saw there my rank had changed. After telling the MPF there was a mistake, they ensured me there wasn't and that I should have had it on a couple days earlier and that my OR should have been notified. Even my troops knew before I did, but no Commander or 1Sgt notification that entire day or the next morning, so I switched from E6 to E7 during lunch. The Commander and 1Sgt showed up the 3rd day to congratulate me... I think it was around that time when I decided 1 more trip to the box, then I'm out... Got a call from the Selection Board saying I needed to submit a package, to which I replied I had already submitted the above letter. Was told "I know, we can rip that up." I was in honor guard training when my supervisor came and had to take me to see my 1st Sgt. I figured I was going to get ripped into for something, no idea what, but the only way they would drag me out like that was for something important. I waited for about an hour until the 1st Sgt. was able to see me. I had to wait outside and march in as if to receive that LOR, LOA, or LOC type ordeal. She then preceded to read me my Miranda rights and said I was being implicated in the theft, and participation of thieves, from our BX. She asked me if I needed anything or had anything to say so naturally I said "Get me a lawyer". She went on to say she was disappointed and expected more then brought in our squadron commander who said he was disappointed that I had received BTZ and was getting E4 promotion 6 months early. :) SrA Johnathan Kropke Tue, 20 Oct 2015 13:35:25 -0400 2015-10-20T13:35:25-04:00 Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 10 at 2019 11:50 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-s-the-most-unusual-way-you-have-seen-someone-be-notified-of-selection-for-promotion?n=4711224&urlhash=4711224 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>When I was a 2LT, I got called out at first formation.
