What’s the next step after my conditional release form gets approved? Is there a way I can stay in DEP until next summer? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-s-the-next-step-after-my-conditional-release-form-gets-approved-is-there-a-way-i-can-stay-in-dep-until-next-summer

So I recently just got back my conditional release form approved after waiting for about a year. I must admit that it kind of came back at the wrong time (I’m still thankful) for me because I am trying to finish up my associates by Summer next year. On the form, it says that it is valid until April 2018. I haven’t contacted my recruiter yet but is there a way I can be in DEP until next summer? Like would I have to do MEPS physical all over again? Will I be able to reclass or have an option for duty stations? Thank you all in advance. I will call my recruiter eventually! My experience has been that there is a significant lead time from initial contact and actually shipping. Yes, you will have to do the MEPS physical, but the ones around here will generally run the prior service guys through ahead of all the new recruits. Reclassifying will depend on what's available and how well you did on your ASVAB and evals. Duty station will depend on what your MOS ends up and where the Army needs people. And I'm referring to the whole enlisting while currently in school process. More than likely they will try to get you to attend BCT as soon as possible. But I'm not clear exactly on which branch that you're planning on enlisting in. I'm speaking from my experience with the National Guard. I would have gotten an earlier ship date of this year if I had not provided them with an enrollment letter from the college that I attend. I did a physical 3 years ago at MEPS, and I had to get another one done last month so it would depend possibly on how long ago was your last physical. So chances are you may have to. But my guess is this, if you don't have an enrollment letter for next semester or have already signed up and have your classes selected you will more than likely get shipped man. 1LT Kevin Chapman Thu, 09 Nov 2017 12:34:56 -0500 2017-11-09T12:34:56-05:00 Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 9 at 2017 7:44 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-s-the-next-step-after-my-conditional-release-form-gets-approved-is-there-a-way-i-can-stay-in-dep-until-next-summer?n=3078651&urlhash=3078651

Call your Recruiter.

Call your Recruiter.

Call your Recruiter.

Call your Recruiter.
