What's the worst experience you've had at a gun shop?

I'm stationed in Tucson, and the gun shops here are a serious joke. Staffed by over opinionated tacticool nerds carrying only 2,000 dollar guns, it seems that the firearms industry is dead in this town. Do you live in a place like this where you're better off ordering guns online?

can't put a price on peace of mind! i recommend .38 snub nose revolver to get started. it's light, reliable, and does enough damage for most applications. there's a company that makes colt replicas called rock island. their revolvers are only 250 bucks a pop, and are fantastic starter guns. but what's beautiful is that there are literally thousands to choose from!

Sgt Kelli Mays - yep! it's a little gun, barrel length is typically 2in. they're fantastic for concealed carry.

I was teaching my wife to shoot a pistol and showed her the proper way to wrap her hands around the weapon, when I turned to reload a magazine, she had taken her thumb and slipped it to the other side of the grip and pulled the trigger, forcing the slide backward that sliced her hand into a bleeding mess, not a little, a lot, she still has the scar and has never shot a slide pistol again. She now uses a revolver named Sally! That was in the basement of the gun shop where I picked up my deployment pistol! A KIMBER .45.

Sgt Kelli Mays - It left scars as a reminder, she hasn't shot a slide weapon ever again and like I stated, prefers the revolver style of point and pull trigger!

I had a Well read book educated gun sales man try to tell me about the problems with the 1911's M9's vs and the advantages of the Glocks...
