What's your favorite place to hike in the fall?

Augsburg sounds wonderful

SPC Edward Vidmar - They didn't have eBikes back then. A couple of us had bicycles. There was a bike rental shop just outside the gate from Sheridan Kaserne. The guy who ran the shop had learned that when we brought four or five guys to rent bikes for the day he didn't bother trying to give us whatever he had out front but would go into the shop and give us bikes that were in better condition. We'd adjust the seats and handlebars, check the tires and brakes, and we'd all head out. South to Stadt Route 300, then east to the Lech, then follow the trails along the river bank north at least to Autobahn 8. If there was no traffic, we'd sometimes sneak across the autobahn bridge, otherwise we'd continue north to Gertshofer Strasse or Rehlinger Strasse depending on how the others were doing. Then south back to the kaserne. There were a couple of konditori and schnell imbiss along the way where we were regulars.
