Attend the Veterans Day luncheon and parade in Dawsonville. The luncheon is at the Jr High, Etowah Wayer provides the Chic-fil-ey. The program and parade are put on by the Veterans Affairs Committee of Dawson County, of which I am the treasurer. Cheers

Have already been questioned for a video for a local school. Last week we visited a parochial school for a Veteran's Day event. Visit a nursing home on Thursday for vets there. Friday we have a procession to a number of local schools and finish with a rifle squad performance and flag raising preceding the viewing of the aforementioned video at a middle school in Cedarburg, WI

My wife and I will be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary. She is a former Army Medic that did a hitch back in the late 70's. I was in the U.S.M.C during the same time period. I ended up doing my four years, got out missed it, went into National Guard, ended up full retirement with 35yrs and two days. We been together for 12 yrs. When we decided to get married, we picked Veterans Day, so we can celebrate with all our Brothers, and Sisters who bared arms protecting our great community, state, and nation.

On Veterans Day I plan to participate in Veteran Day activities. Then as an employee of Homeland Security I am required to worked in the afternoon. My job is to protect passengers from any items that are prohibited. Our agency was created after 9/11.

I plan on going to Brownville,NY Cemetery to share memories of a gentleman by the name of Warren Hopseker. He passed away last November 13 ,2021. He fought in WW2 and Korea,,and seen action in Germany. He was 97 years young! What a honor to call him Dad, (really dad inlaw).He has fought me how to garden ,told me stories of his childhood and some horrors of war. God Bless to all Veterans even me I'm one !

I plan to visit several of my former combat veterans buddies who are ill with Agent Orange as result of their tours as infantry soldiers. I enjoy their company, & we look forward to remember our other infantry buddies who have passed away as results of their illnesses from the Vietnam conflict.

Waste my early morning trying to get a coupon or two so I can partake a free coffee when I finally get home from overseas…Seriously though I fully intend on going to Pointe du Hoc on my way home. I have a bucket list knocking them out one by one but some places require a return trip as they can be so impactful and also get some closure. I would put Arlington National Cemetery and Pointe du Hoc as well worth not only a visit that will define you but a return visit as well. Full Send

Each year I go to Great Clips for my free haircut; I go there all year. This is the only "freebee" I take advantage of. There a lot of places that offer free meals, but I live in southeastern NC and there are many fellow Vets that need these meals and since I can afford to pay I do. I'm not rich and maybe even on the lower end of the scale, but this is my way to show respect to my fellow Vets. There is always someone who need it more and it's a great feeling to see them happy.

Calling my Son in the Middle East. He will not be here for the holidays this year. My Son is a Navy Seal Officer. My Dad is a Navy Veteran. I will surprise him and take him to San Diego where he was stationed on the U.S. Gompers. He also met my mom in the Navy galley where is worked. She said she really liked him and would always serve him with respect and a beautiful smile. They have been married 46 years!

This year, I really want to share the good parts of my service with my children and attend their Elementary school choir performance to celebrate Veteran’s Day. Years prior, my PTSD stopped me from wanting to share that I am a Veteran for fear of bringing back the bad memories. This year is the first time I want to focus on the positive parts, the ones that I am proud of! Wish me luck!

My Name is Stephen M. Graham I plan to Reminisce, eat good and dream of what could have been in my life, I have only been to 2 Veteran Day celebrations/ parade in my life, I am 69 years old, I am a Vietnam Combat Veteran, I was a private when I was discharged from service, I am a quadriplegic, I have Osteomyelitis and on antibiotics for the rest of my life, stage 4 wounds, I survived Covic 19 twice, I suffer from (PTSD). I am so happy I served in the military and have not, will not change the way I feel about serving in the military period.

Veterans Day is the day I pay tribute to my family members, like my father and mother who both served in the Army during WWII, and other family members that served all the way back to the Revolutionary War! Because of them me, my brother and my sister all served in the military during the Vietnam War. My brother and I are all that are left that served. We are both proud to be known as Veterans and we honor our family and all others that served our country by having served in the United States of America Military!!

1) Start the day by giving thanks and prayers to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for keeping our men and women in armed forces safe and secure.
2) have breakfast w/ friends at Denny’s
3) get my car washed and oil changed
3) have our annual lunch at Lazy Dogs with a group of other veterans
4) attend my Tustin American Legion post #227 gathering
5) have an early dinner at nearby Black Angus Steakhouse with veterans and supporters.
6) End the day at Newport Harbor American Legion with friends looking at the harbor and listening to the band.
7) before bedtime give thanks and pray to God for us veterans who sacrificed our lives and served our country.

Anyway my opinion and mine only they just want to say there going to help because it’s Veterans Day in reality it’s just about numbers/stats. Sounds familiar that’s what we were in the military. Don’t get me wrong have an honorable discharge from the Navy and Army loved being in loved what I did !! Please if you want to question it come see me in Nash take you out for a beer at the most American bar ever Redneck Rivera !!

I plan to patronize those food establishments who are recognizing veterans for their service by offering free menu items. I will be eating a Grand Slam breakfast at Denny's, Country Fried steak for lunch at Bob Evans, and a special menu item at Olive Garden. On my way to pick up a meal voucher at Texas Roadhouse, I will stop by Sheetz for a free car wash and a turkey sub.

Well, I was working. I'm a Merchant mariner, and the ship I sail on is in the shipyard in Singapore. However, I did get time this weekend to watch Black Panther. The movie is a masterpiece, and I encourage everyone to see it.

I always spend Veterans Day with at least one person who I care deeply for usually to get dinner and something else we enjoy doing together. This year was the first year I got to spend it with my boyfriend who is also an army veteran.

To attend the Veterans Day Parade in New Braunfels Texas. Started and created by sister in law in memory of all veterans, her father 40 years Air Force and also his 6 brothers, all Veterans of foreign wars. The youngest brother KIA Korea. Now 6 Years running and getting bigger every year.
