We used these radios on our convoys in Afghanistan. Nice capabilities!Response by SFC Joe S. But, remember, I'm so old, I remember the Army still using Teletypes, Vincents, PRC-77's, and having Wire Dogs (31K's) to run wd-1. And I will never be a 25 anything. I'm a 31C, and will always be one.Response by SGT Lance Snyder made Feb 6 at 2016 9:04 PM2016-02-06T21:04:33-05:002016-02-06T21:04:33-05:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member1405086<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>if your a plt size element that doesn't need sat than no doubt, the V6 MBITR. I would use that one because of the 16 channel wheel so you could easily bump to other freqs. Also for telling other 11B's how to easily switch. It's also a lighter than 152s. But if you are a secondary means of sat, than I recommend you use the 152, due to its sat burst mode and also the use of the KDU for ease of access and to not depend on pulling it out. But by far, The best radio in the world is the 117G (bigger version of the 152 basically)! Yeah the radio is a little on the heavy side, but it pushes 20 watts versus the 5 watts for the MBITR and 10 watts for the 152 so you can push a lot further out with the 117G.Response by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 25 at 2016 10:54 PM2016-03-25T22:54:22-04:002016-03-25T22:54:22-04:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member7225788<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I like the additional options the 152 gives. Every radio has a situation it shines in, but the 152 being an option for almost any situation makes it my ideal choice.Response by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 29 at 2021 4:27 AM2021-08-29T04:27:36-04:002021-08-29T04:27:36-04:002016-02-06T12:55:36-05:00
