I do know that whatever they are the services offered for "family" should include significant others as identified or approved by the military member. I've been in some online civilian groups that have formed private FB sites for significant others of deployed military personnel where they could talk with each other, ask questions, learn about the process, express their concerns freely, suggest ways to keep busy and help each other with home repairs and other chores that need to be done that they haven't had experience with before. These groups are really helpful and make the young people at home for the first time feel a little more comfortable and less confused or scared.
