What shoes are recommended for knee pain?

This question is aimed at the Airborne, running and rucking community since I know knee issues are common, but anyone with any advice please feel free to answer...
Long story short is that I'm getting older and my knees are starting to feel it. Sometimes I'm walking and I get intense pain in my knees that cause me to limp. I've been eating "ranger candy" almost everyday in the past week and I'm scheduling a doctors visit to get it looked at. My guess is a lot of it has to do with footwear. What civilian shoes have been "prescribed" to you to address knee problems and/or alleviate knee pain? Not specifically running or rucking shoes, but just everyday shoes.

SSG Carlos Madden I never found any shoes to relieve my knee pain. Both knees were replaced 2 years apart, that took care of the knee pain.

I work in law enforcement and I am on my feet a lot. I was having a lot of foot problems where I was having difficulty walking.
I found a few shoes that helped including the Adidas LITE RACER ADAPT 3.0 SHOES. They are very light and one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Even better, they aren't very expensive.

Wife got me Skechers, and they are not bad. Almost like no shoes, although not technically orthopedic. Light and washable. It seems to help my knees, and I have one that is a replacement candidate. Copperfit brace helps with stability. Not endorsing and I hold no position in either.

I have ankle problems as well as knee problems (much alleviated by a R knee replacement 15 months ago). Archmolds inserts (follow the directions to get a perfect fit) and Irish Setter Wingshooter boots, I have them in both 6 and 8 inch heights, work wonders for me. Irish Setter is a brand name of Red Wing Boots, and neither they nor the Archnmolds are particularly cheap, but they are well worth it. I wear the boots anytime I'm off pavement, which is as much of the time as I can get away from the "honey-dos."

It could be age or it could be something else. I developed pain in my left knee that left me limping while walking. I eventually saw my orthopedic doctor who did an MRI on it. It turns out I had a torn meniscus. I wouldn't start spending a lot money on shoes until you get a proper diagnosis.

A chiropractor may be able to help you identify if your feet are tilting to one side or the other, or if one leg is longer than the other. The proper lifts and insoles may help.

My knees are shot, and I’m getting good results with CBD oil, and I also use Voltran Gel. My running days are over but with my knees biking or treadmill can be painful too. Check with your Doc, the broad spectrum CBD has trace elements of THC, you may or may not test positive. CBD Isolate contains no THC.

I have custom foot orthotics that reduce ankle pronation which was the root cause of my knee pain. I can go for miles as long as I have my inserts.

SSG Carlos Madden when I was on status I went to a local running shoe store and they had me run on a treadmill and they told me I was rolling my feet while I ran and showed me some Brooks that would help. I have had Brooks ever since. After coming off status I went to a doctor about foot issues and they tried to get me to a brace shop but there is no brace shop at Hood and according to my doctor Tri-Care didn't cover it outside of a military base. So fast forward a PCS I went to Tripler and they hooked me up with shoe inserts for my boots and sneakers. I can get 2 pairs a year there and once I retire the VA I think gives you one a year. Both may be something to look at doing.

See your podiatrist. A good quality orthopedic also helps. Always use cornstarch and baking soda, 50-50 combo in your footgear. For exercise use a treadmill, rather than a hard surface, or a bike or swim.

Others have said what I'm going to say, but it bears repeating. Find yourself a sports medecine chiropractor. I was a hockey goalie for 20 years on top of an 11b\95b. The combination of thos activities left be with serious issues with my spinal allignment. Chiro is expensive, but worth it as they can help mitigate issues than can't be corrected by surgury. Also, go see a foot doctor. You may be having gait issues that perscription orthotics can help correct.
