Scott Losey a County Veterans Affairs director shakes down veterans. Takes their money to assist and we wonder why "we" don't trust the VA. This is another example of people entrusted to take care of the nations veterans. Apparently he doesn't remember a damn thing from his service, if he in fact did serve. Selfless Service not Selfish and despicable service.

He should be familiar with typical punishment under the ucmj. Half months pay until his debt is paid and seperated/ fired plus whatever civilian courts decide.

There are some really despicable people out there. People who stoop to this level deserve just about anything which gets done to them.

What I'd like to do is kick his ass, but since I can't, fire, prosecute to the fullest extent, make full restitution, and do everything possible to make sure he never holds a job in the future where he is placed in a position of trust.

Make him work at a VA hospital as a janitor, cleaning up after Veterans, for the rest of his life.

Thanks for bringing this story to light for the community. I'm here in the Phoenix, AZ VA region and these stories do not surprise me anymore. My problem with the VA has been the system, not any one individual; but this person is just vile.

SFC Mark Merino Agreed and it's a shame, because individuals like this give the VA a whole a black eye and builds more mistrust. The really sad thing about all of this, there are a lot of good people in the VA doing and/or wanting to do the right thing. The system is not set up so they can and hence we don't get the care they want to provide us.

I'll say it one more time there are a lot of good people in the VA, this guy isn't one of them and I hope they don't find out he got bonuses too for all of his great work over the years.

Amen. There are AWESOME members in the VA as well as the hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours performed every year. My problem stemmed from the entire AZ VA system not having a neurosurgeon, and the surrounding states cutting them off from transfering patients to use their neurosurgeons. It took 3 years of nightmare red tape and they never fixed the problem. I finally got medicare to pay the MAYO hospital to cut me. 100% coverage from Tricare, AND the VA, and no neurosurgeons. It was a exercise in patience and humility to say the least.
