First off your job as an Officer, but remember you don’t know everything heed the advice from your NCO’s they will assist you in becoming an outstanding leader.

So as the other two NCOs suggested your best bet is to Learn everything you can from your platoon Sergeant. It may seem like an awkward dynamic but that NCO probably has 10-15 years under his belt and knowns the platoon in side and out, or should. Also take your guidance from the commander. He will give you his intent and your left and right limits as long as you can accomplish his mission with in your limits then you should be fine. Also be prepared to run. Enjoy.
