What should I do if I was wrongly disqualified at MEPS?

I was wrongly disqualified. The dermatologist at meps said I didn’t have anything. But when I went back i was disqualified. Then meps told me to go to my own dermatologist and get an update . I did and they said that they did not find LSC on me . Then meps asked for my medical records n I sent them that . But I was still turned away. I really want to join the army . I have a lot of friends in the army . What should I do ? Who can I talk to ? Should I give up?

Did they ever actually tell you what you were disqualified for? You mentioned LSC, but is that what they said the disqualifying factor was?

Also, for your personal research, check out Section 5, Page 11, Department of Defense Instruction 6130.03, that covers the medical screening disqualifiers for service. Maybe in the meantime you might come across another condition you have, that they may have found.

As a current recruiter for the Army National Guard, I hate to be negative, but MEPS stands for Military Entrance PREVENTION Station. They are not there to process you in, but to find any (and I mean any reason, regardless of how stupid it might be) reason to disqualify you. My advice is to get all your supporting documents from your civilian doctor and ask your recruiter to submit a waiver to the Army in your behalf. Arguing with the MEPS won't help. They will not change their determination even when facing evidence supporting so.

Please review this regulation. AR 40-501. This is the regulation both recruiters determining eligibility and MEPS goes off.
