What should I do if my recruiter sent in a request to get my records, and it has been a week (prior service with RE 3 code with LBK)?

I finally had a chance to go in a visit with a recruiter everything seemed to go fine until he saw my re3 code with LBK. He was stumped on how I got an honorable discharge yet re3. He sent in a request to get my records it’s been a week still nothing yet. Should I bug him or just let it be? I’m making 80k a year I’m not hurting to get back in for security I just honestly miss the army life.

You are pulling down good money-why go back to sixty hour weeks for a lot less? Consider trying one year in the Guard or Reserve and see if you get back some of that lost Army feeling. Good luck!

It's not that unusual of a situation. Chances are you'll get a waiver as long as you are enlisting while the Army is in need. They can take a while though. Mine took 6 months. He's getting credit for putting you in so it's not as if he's going to blow you off.

If you want you records use the eVetRecs Java applet site from NPRC in St. Louis, ou can obviously get your material yourself, just be sure to ask for both your admin and med/dental files, you need to explicitly ask if you want both, by mentioning both sets of material, just sign and date the eVetRecs printout, then don't lose it, with the reference number, or you're gonna have to start all over, the switchboard staff can't find it once you fax it back, use a cover letter to explain more, if need be, unless you've got the reference number, normally you should get a letter in a couple of weeks they're looking for your stuff, then you should get a double sided set of copies, copy ten single sided yourself at a copy place, don't have someone do that for you, or the pages are bound to get scrambled, with blank pages winding up inserted, that happened with my stuff all the time, hat was why I had to literally check every single page...also, did you want the same MOS? Different? Have you looked at other svcs at all? Any assocs or Bach at this point, or grad level at all? I only ask out of curiosity as I have an interest in career/educ questions, that's all, honest...if the RE code still hangs things up, you can always consider petitioning for a discharge review board (DRB) through VA, or possibly a correction board submission, though trust me, get a vet group or VA-qualified lawyer to help you, maybe a law school vet law clinic, possibly...my total perm disability too six and half years to process, so trust me, my wife and I did the whole thing, both vet group help, and also found there's a very real reason God invented attorneys, I can assure you, if you'd care to know more, just let me know, I'll try to suggest more, no rush, whenever convenient, OK?

Aside from vet groups and law school vet paw clinics, NOVA is the top of VA law, they normally do disability cases, however, you could always ask one of theirs for suggestions as to whom try might know who does VA DRB or military admin law for correction board cases, they may know, they may not, I merely suggest them as a resource, nohung more, honest, OK?

And did you want active duty? Guard? Reserve? AGR? Guard Tech? Reserve Tech? Aside from other svcs, that is...also, did you want senior enlisted ultimately? Warrant? Commissioned? If you could elaborate, so far as possible, I'd be most interested in hearing more, as I'd said, once again, no rush, of course....

LBK, means you seperated regularly via ETS process but that the ETS seperation was not voluntary on your part and I think you guessed it right it probably meant bar to enlistment due to whatever the bar said (overweight?). I don't know much about bars but maybe the Recruiter is asking for records to validate what you said the bar was for?

Purely as a suggestion you might not have considered, this is the major state defense force (SDF) group, now, having been Army, I can entirely understand why am SDF might not be your first preference, however, that being said, gvem what you said your income is, if you wouldn't want to risk that, yet care to still help doing ARNG and/or ANG supplement stuff, an SDF can obviously let you do that, if your state has one, not all do, of course, you'd need to check the site here, and see if your state has such an organization, however, having been prior active duty, I'd be fairly certain out could certainly be of use to them, such that you'd only typically do Natl Guard supplemental stuff in your own state with no possibility of deployment outside, at least as I understand how SDFs function, like the NY Guard (NYG) where we are, I'd wanted to go that route, I'd also looked at USCG Aux, also, Civil Air Patrol (CAP), it was just that my total perm disability has bllixed up all those efforts, USCG Aux actually allows me!bers with adequate training to assist USCG with a good many things CAP doesn't normally do, like letting members stand radio watches, I've read about doing gate guard, food services, and, having been clinical till we shut my license for allied health doctoral level due to my disability, also let members who are clinically qualified assist with treating patients, ty also have USCG AuxOp, an operational component, and I've even seen a masters program their members can compete for, in Calif, I'd gathered, though I expect getting it would be pretty stiff, one would had to be in with them for quite some time...I just figured I'd suggest such stuff...I'd also looked at tutoring Naval Sea Cadets on STEM topics, maybe you could do automotive with them, just a thought of course, I'd also helped slightly while I'd been on active duty with q CAP cadet unit on my installation, for awhile, as well...I know, also, USAFR allowed USAFR members to drill with CAP, I'd looked at that also, though never did it, I'm unsure about ANG, however, I did know for certain USAFR allowed it...here's also JROTC as well, though I've gathered they're full time gigs in high schools, you understand...just some further food for thoughts, you know?
