What should I expect as a National Guard Driver? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-should-i-expect-as-a-national-guard-driver <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I just enlisted National Guard, as a prior service 88M. I was 88M1 and they gave me 88M2, in a Heavy Transport Company. I just met the readiness NCO at my new unit, and he said it's an E-5 slot. I am wondering what I should expect for duties. Please don't waste it. Your an E-4 in an E-5 slot so you should be doing everything you can to earn that E-5. Talk to your Section &amp; PLT SGTs and find out what you need to know and do to get there. A lot of times w/o you knowing you can have your slot changed, especially if there is someone up for that promotion and you're in the slot. Pun intended - "Drive on"!
