What should I expect from reclassifying to 11B from 31B?

Longer road marching is the biggest thing, graduating from Sand Hill required a 25 mile march.
Other than that, mainly just solid skills on m4, 249, 240, and battle drill.
There is a lot of useful institutional knowledge in the career field.

Unless you go to an L&O unit you're going to be doing combat support.

Ruck less and ride more. Shoot less and guard more. MPs in combat are Infantry on wheels so they adjustment won't be so bad for you.

That is exactly what I did. When you go to AIT firstly 31B is also an OSIT so you will transition into the AIT portion. When I went through we all got told to help the pvts out but do not associate with them. Certain ranges and weapons systems that aren't tough in basic get tough there in AIT and the retreds do BS stuff unless you want to jump in and join the class and shoot (wasn't required for us) other then that you do everything else have weeneds and nights off. And I can't stress enough leave the AIT privates alone that will get you in trouble.
