They have a daily plane from Ethiopia that flies in Khat (Qat) google that. It&#39;s roughly the land mass of the state of MA. The post is adequate for troops living conditions and they were transitioning from GP tents to CHU&#39;s/CLU&#39;s depending what your service calls them. The tap water is/was non-potable. Driving off post is challenging but not impossible. It is about 15 minutes from the post to the USEMB. I was the Country Desk Officer for that country in 04-05 as an E9. Not sure on the current task-org or what your MOS is, however, as an E4 you may be limited on your travels there. It&#39;s extremely technically challenged as far as cell and internet. There is a burn pit dump close to the post and many beggars. Good luck on your tour and don&#39;t leave any gear near a French Legionnaire.
