What should I wear to my wife’s family day?

My wife is graduating basic training at fort Jackson here soon and I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to wear my ocps to her family day? If I wear my ocps on family day, does that mean I should wear my asu’s on graduation day? I just don’t want to be “that guy”. Btw I’m new to this app and still figuring it out.

Everything you listed would be appropriate attire. I would probably wear civilian attire/ dress uniform.

As a service member you can wear your OCP or ASU, however, you are there as a spouse. As a family member I would recommend wearing civilian attire. As a (former) duel married couple, when participating in military events only the service member for the event would be in uniform, the other acting as a spouse would wear civilians.

I agree with MAJ Private RallyPoint Member and SSG Private RallyPoint Member. Wear a civilian suit because this is your wife's time to be in the spotlight.

I wore civilian clothes when my son Graduated BCT. It was his day to shine. It was all about him, no need to make him jealous with his one ribbon. haha

A suit or suitable civilian attire for the occasion. Both are her days so unless you want to show military unity, don't detract from it by standing out.

I recommend nice business casual for Family Day and if your wife wants you to wear your ASUs on Graduation Day, then wear them. Otherwise, just wear nice Business Casual or a very nice suit on Graduation Day.

It’s your time to be supportive spouse. Ask wife what she wants. I vote for civilian clothes for family day. Service uniform for formal graduation.

When I went to my sons graduation we were both on active duty, I wore civilian clothes for family day and he asked me to wear my Greens for his graduation. If he hadn't asked for me to wear my greens I'd have went business casual.
