What songs are on your running playlist?

I am revamping my workout playlist and I realized that I need a separate running/cardio playlist. Although I love the songs on my current list some of the songs aren't great for running. What are your go-to songs when you hit the pavement? I'm open to all genres.

This I recorded almost a year ago in concert. Depeche Mode has a few fast-paced songs such as Route 66 and this one. They also have an awesome live concert from the 80s called 101 that was recorded in Pasadena. I was there back in the summer of 1987. Also New Order has a song called Blue Monday. There are so many fast songs that I could add to the list or songs that have good Rhythm. The songs I mention on my prior post were songs that were played at my fraternity Rush party back in the 80s. LOL oh yeah, and my Adidas and maybe the song King of Rock by Run DMC . I also like Van Halen and Sammy Hagar. Van Halen dancing in the streets, Panama, Hot for Teacher Sammy Hagar heavy metal, I Can't Drive 55 are a couple examples. I hope this helps!

I usually swim, so don't have a set “running” playlist. However, I was on the elliptical the other day and my wife was playing Maroon 5 (Girls Like You). I’m not really a “Pop” guy, but it worked out great. I looked at other Maroon 5 songs to use when I’m not in the pool and I think Sugar, Payphone, and Moves Like Jagger seem to be good choices. (At least on the elliptical) Good luck!

Listening to music while running decreases your situational awareness and could create a problem for the runner. Especially, when running off-post, where the civilian population commonly doesn't yield to runners.
