What sort of ramifications may face society if the U.S is really involved with extraterrestrial and alien technology?

This issue has been talked about for decades. There has been numerous high ranking military leaders who have written books and/or leaked information on the involvement of U.S in extraterrestrial life and technology. Why would past high ranking military leaders talk about this if nothing really existed? Is the U.S hiding this information from Americans? What is your opinion on this issue?

Interesting article, but I think it is all in one's self perception and what you may want to believe, while there may or may not be any physical proof, we do have many unexplained issues or occurrences that have been documented or "covered up" over the years. So is it all fact or conspiracy for the "loonies", I am curious myself.

The ramifications would be bad. Star scream would be mad and probably sue for intellectual right and E.T. would then go home. It would be a mess.

Didn't they say that at some point in the past an alien ship crashed on earth somewhere and "they" picked up the remains of the ship and that's where they discovered things like: fiber optics and cevelar material and a few more things that we are using today?
