I am kind of crazy going back to the mid 80's Colombia, silence meant a fight, which fed that fight and flight addiction of the adrenaline rush, that kept me alive in Afghanistan during three deployments, as well as prison work after Colombia. I guess for me it was an addiction to the adrenaline rush, but of course when the Taliban opened up with RPG's then the fear (Oh Shit) kicked in. But marriage is worst when she is Silent.

The thumps and whoomps of the mortars and rockets hitting the base before the INCOMING alarm was even sounded.

The halo of mortar rockets as they came in at night time, The Halo of the Angel of Death, coming to collect.
